Liz Gross // Director of Bakery

Liz started her career at Nelson's County Market at the age of 16, working in the bakery as a packager/closer. She balanced two jobs until she was 21, including a position at O'Reilly's and Harley Davidson as an HR co-op. Over the years, she worked my way up at the grocery store while attending school and college, eventually decorating cakes to help out during a staffing shortage. After four years in the bakery, she became the Lead of the Department. When Trig's acquired Nelson's County Market in 2018, she continued to grow, becoming Bakery Coordinator in 2019, and eventually Bakery Director of Operations in 2021.

Liz holds a degree in Business Management, with additional certifications in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Food Safety. Throughout her career, She has been honored with several awards, including Excellence in Operations in 2020 and 2021, and the Outstanding Business Leader award in 2022 from T.A. Solberg.

What she loves most about her job is working with numbers—spreadsheets, to-do lists, and "all things" related to organization. She is passionate about creating a wide variety of baked goods and keeping up with the latest trends in the industry, which she gets to explore through food shows. Being a team player and working with people energizes her.

She enjoys working for Trig's because it's a family-oriented company with competitive benefits, and they work together toward a common goal. She is proud of how she has grown with the company, creating many of the bakery programs and coaching teams on their implementation.

Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors—hunting, fishing, walking, and farming. She also enjoys stock car racing and spending time with her stepdaughter and husband. Her passion word is "Family" because everything she does revolves around them, and she cherishes the time they spend together.
